ANDERSON’S ELECTRICAL – RELIABLE AND LOCAL SINCE 1972
A fifth-generation local lad, Craig Weastell has been wiring up homes and businesses in the Upper Clutha since the early 1980’s when he completed his electrical apprenticeship.
Working for his uncle, company founder Brian Anderson, Craig took over the business in 1992 and now has his son David working alongside him in the family business and wife, Lu, running the administrative side of the operation.
A keen motorcyclist, Craig uses his time away from the tools for touring the South Island with annual trips down to the Burt Munro Festival and taking part in the Poker Run charitable fundraisers. Enjoying fishing and golf in the Central Otago outdoors and coastal areas of the South Island are another major distraction.
When Lu gets isn’t balancing the company books and fielding inquiries, she is strongly involved in the local community volunteering for events such as Challenge Wanaka, the Festival of Colour and school fundraisers. The two also spend a lot of time enjoying watching their four grandchildren get older, with the GPS based Geocache treasure hunt game a popular past-time.
